Under our Design-Build model, Edify provides a full service, yet simple approach to construction as we are the single point of contact heading up a team of Designer and Engineering consultants to bring your project to life from inception to completion. An integrated team fosters collaboration and teamwork which creates a process that ensures solutions are found before construction begins. In the end, this will save on time and money as work is completed more efficiently and with fewer issues.
Our heavy focus on pre-construction planning including site review, drawing reviews and cost analysis maximizes resources for a seamless execution. Timeline and budget parameters are focused around Client goals to deliver exceptional quality projects.
We also understand that our Clients have their day to day job and responsibilities and undertaking a construction project on top of that can be overwhelming. Our goal is to take that stress off and manage the project in its entirety. Edify takes on the responsibility and every aspect of the build from estimation, assessments, design/architecture, pre-construction, engineering, subcontractors, construction and post construction.
In our experience, only an open and transparent communication style keeps us all focused on creating a win-win-win working relationship for everyone. Together with your stakeholders, we pre-qualify subcontractors for each division and prepare a list of recommended bidders, review contracts and prepare all scope of work before preparing and issuing tenders. Once tenders are received, we make our recommendations and negotiate the contract on your behalf.
As Construction Manager, we serve as the owner representative on site – ensuring all work is conducted to spec, timeline, and budget. Your site supervisor is on-site through the duration of the project participating in meetings, providing reports on site conditions and evaluating any and all changes. Back at the office, we provide thorough management of all technical and financial administration from progress payments to building permits to labour contracts.
After the job is done and the trades have gone home, we view our relationship with our clients as far from over – managing the co-ordination and preparation of a package of all warranties, maintenance manuals, and schedules for the equipment and materials supplied, as required. Because we’ve managed so many office moves over the years, we are also often called upon by our clients’ operating staffs to ensure a smooth and proper takeover – including any necessary training and instruction.
Edify has a recycling program for floor coverings, paints, doors, frames, hardware, millwork, electrical and plumbing fixtures, all having recently been reused to renovate the Portage Drug Addiction For Children. Ask us about our recycling programs in order to mitigate the storage and disposal costs for redundant office furnishings and equipment.
